Love Letters...

A few weeks ago I was cleaning out the closet in our guest room and came across this tiny box.
This little wooden box with polka dots (that I painted) contains all of the little notes that Willis and I wrote eachother while dating and while he lived in Charleston during our engagement. Also I stored in it all of our concert tickets and most movie stubs and stubs from the 2 plays we went to. It really took me back when I saw this. It has been shoved in the bottom of our closet for almost 2 years now with me never thinking about it. Sure the box is cute and I could keep it, but you know me I have decided to celebrate our memories another way. I decided to make a scrapbook of all our memories (letter, pics, and of course tickets to special events) not ever memory but ones for me to be able to look at over the years. So I picked up a few things at Hobby Lobby to get me started.

I opted to go for an antique theme of creme and white and here are some accessories I bought to go with it.
This is currently what my workspace looks like and I feel like I'm having a little creative block so who knows how long this little project will take.

I will keep you posted on my progress.

Bobcats

Last night we went to watch the Bobcats play up in Charlotte with Ashley and TJ. Here are some pics.

Crafty

I will admit that I am loving the sun shining and warm weather. It has gotten me in the mood to re-decorate. I am trying to do little things at a time and it is quite hard to contain myself :-) So yesterday while in Spartanburg shopping with Momma I came across some fabulous elegant floral pieces at Michael's and decided it was time to re-decorate my beautiful crystal vase. This vase was given to me at a wedding shower and I absolutely love it. At first it was used on the dining table whenever Willis would bring home fresh flowers but then I decided to make a silk arrangement for our living room. And so it has remained for about 2 years now! Talk about time for a change. This is my vase before... This is it empty. I wanted to start from scratch.

Here are the floral pieces I picked up...I know it's hard to tell how they look in this one.

And here is the finished product in it's new locale...our bedroom!
I am so pleased with how it turned out. It is so elegant and fills the once empty space so nicely.

That was only one of the projects that I have completed. I am working on the living room as well. I will post when I have more complete...

New hair

I know it's been awhile since my last post...sorry! Today I got a new hairstyle and I just had to post before and after pics. Let me know what you think :-) and I promise to post more frequently now...

Virginia is for lovers...

This past weekend Willis and I and his parents traveled to Virginia to see Mike and Kim get married. I did not take pics of the wedding but here are some from the reception.

Gotta love Mike and Kim entering the reception to 2001...Go Cocks! The Cake table...Kim's theme was snowflakes very appropriate for the freezing weather.

New Year's Eve pic

Willis and I decided we would try out our new camera before going out on New Year's Eve. We had it set up and ready to take our picture with the delayed flash. Miss Abby however could not stand to have a camera flash go off and not be in the picture. Got to love the spoiled diva dog. Happy New Year!
